ADhD ODD...anyone familiar?

my daughter seems to fit having symptoms of ADhD ODD. shes doing a lot of lying lately and lying that is going to end up with me in jail..stating to the boys and girls club that she isn't being fed break-fest in the mornings as a result of being bad...this not being true but a bad lie I'm left not knowing what to do...theres many more and more then i can list things she seems to be doing out of spite or to test how far she can take thing...or even just doing anything to stay in trouble...tell her she will not be grounded if she can behave and well she makes sure that she is not behaving. i've tried everything and everyone i could get a number for either no one will help or have to have really good insurance which i don't have...I've yet to find help with this program any suggestions?

Concerned Parent.....

I wonder how old your daughter is? Has she been tested and worked with a psychiatrist yet? Be cautious about searching out a diagnosis as children do act out in this fashion for many many reason, not all of which are an actual psychiatric diagnosis. Depending on where you are, there may some links to medical insurance she can get as a child. If you would like to let me know her age and your state I may be able to comment more on that.

First off try not to take it personally...I know you are saying, WHAT, this is my child. If she truly is struggling with ODD, then there is a process of POSITIVE behavioral interventions that she needs....grounding will do you no good. Be patient and explore ideas for positive intervention. But for you, know this is not your fault and more than likely she will in fact grow through this and be a happy, healthy women. She needs support, and post haste...
