What's with teenagers now of days, they no seem to like girls, LoL.

I am curious about something.

In High School and every time I've ever heard of teenagers and young adult age is that guys that age LOVE women, they basically think about women almost 24/7 and they love to flirt and talk about them.

I don't think about women 24/7 but I do like to talk about them and enjoy flirting with them and them flirting with me.

Oddly though, since I got out of a high school, I've seen many guys still teenage/young adult age, that don't seem to care about women at all, I mean they are not gay, but they don't seem to flirt when a cute girl walks in, they don't seem to ever care to talk about girls, or anything like that.

This just surprised me, because I always hear teenagers and young adults are female crazy, all they think about is girls, girls, girls. When I was in High School this seems to be true, basically every guy was like, dude you gotta have a girlfriend, that girl is so hot, etc. Now in college it's like, a cute girl walks in the room, no one seems to care LoL.

Is this just a myth that teenage guys/young adults are crazy about girls or is it just a rumor that's really only true in high school? I mean I always heard of guys hooking up and going to the malls and stuff just to go "check out hot chicks", but I see so many guys, that don't care to even talk with you, when you say, dude isn't that girl hot?. It's almost as if many guys I talk to, seem to see girls as more of a problem then a joy.

Not everyone is the same. I think the kind of guys you are talking about are probably just not interested or insecure with themselves.

My brothers are like that, so I completely understand. They are 18 and 22 and are content staying home and playing computer games all day. I think it's weird, but that's what they like to do.

Some day if they decide they want a girlfriend, they're gonna have to do something different! Girls don't want to date computer nerds.

Now, there are plenty of young men that love the ladies. I wouldn't call it a myth that teenage boys are horny, but I guess some are just hornier than others!

The fact of the matter is, some don't. Maybe some won't care, but others definitely will. To ignore that is to ignore reality.

Anyway... I don't know where you're getting this stuff from, RP. Teenage guys are as randy and horny now as they were one thousand years ago. People are people and desire seldom changes. People just find new and creative ways to repress or deny it, at times.

If this is true then why their is a girl working in my department (IT) who will be just coming back from her honeymoon this weekend?

And how bout the two others guys in my department, my boss who is married with kids and a guy my age is engaged and set to be married in 2009?

Not to mention all my "computer nerd" friends have partners also.

It just really makes me angry that people devalue those who work with and have a passion for computers. Especially considering the fact that they pretty much run the world, and this forum btw.( did you know this forum is powered by linux

I just find it funny, because I have brothers that think of women way more often then I do, they are kinda like Bubba on Mama's Family, and that's similar to what I always hear teenagers are like.

Yet, I have so many guy friends, that as one poster said, will stay in the house all day on the computer, and will not even get into conversations about girls, and will get annoyed when you talk about them. They literally will not get into a conversation with you at all if it has to do with girls. Oddly enough I think it comes from the parents at least for my one friend, because he and his parents invited me on a vacation one time and his mother acted like I was too much into girls by looking at them and having them always on my mind and that's similar to what my friend said. That amazed me because I just think I'm a regular teenager when it comes to girls, I mean, if a gorgeous girl walks down the street, I don't really think I can 100% ignore her, like as if she is not there. LoL.

I have other friends that get out, but they don't seem to go insane over women as much, well at least they aren't trying to really be a playa like you always hear teenagers want to be LoL.

I think though this all has to do a lot with your luck with women. It's always seems the guys who don't really care for women, never seem to get the attention, but the ones that love them, always seem to get the attention. I like also a fair amount of guys I know, when a cute girl walks into the room, we get full of energy and I think sometimes act puppyish, like we are so adorable, I can't explain it, but it's funny, me and many of my brothers I know have this way, that makes girls giggle and laugh. But then again, my brothers and I, are considered funny as hell and crazy, so maybe that's why.

The reason I think it's "weird" is because neither one of them has ever had a girlfriend. It takes up their entire lives!

Your situation may be different. I am not saying that everyone who plays computer games are weird. What I am saying is if you play it so much that you neglect having a social life and don't ever do anything with your life that may be a problem.

Anything in moderation is cool with me...including the computer!

I guess if you're calling me a stupid girl now - yes, guys do want to date me. Sorry!

LoL, I'm one of the cool computer guys everyone tells me.

I mean, I'm able to do basically anything on the computer and love radio scanners and have a portable radio scanner I take a times, but even though I have all this, when a hot girl walks by, I forget what electronics are, and I immediately go for it. Not in a sexual way but in a flirtish way.

I have two friends, one is always in his house unless he has school or boy scouts and he will not even talk to me about girls and hates looking at pics of girls when I show him and he gets annoyed saying I always worry about girls.

I have another one, who is so funny, cause he says he doesn't really care about girls, but every single day he is bothering the girls, I mean really bothering them, he goes up to almost only girls and talks about computers and sometimes their personal life and their boyfriends. Think he needs some help in the flirting department, LoL.

I know a fair amount of people great with computers but they still get the ladies and not online either LoL. So I guess it all depends, I did notice though, usually the ones who get the ladies, generally you don't realize they love computers as much as those who are on them all day, those you can't miss and seem to generally have a laptop with them or something, that shows off it, if they ever do go outside LoL.

I have to laugh because I've been at both stages. I've been at the stage where I've been indoors all the time on my computer and only talking about computers, now I spend less time, and go out way more and flirt and look at dem ladies, and it's way funner, cause looking at girls to me is like looking at art, just not the kind you hang on the wall. LoL.
