Sounds like you're doing just fine. A gradual change is better than a sudden one. It generally requires a change in lifestyle to stay how you want to be, so that also means a long period of eating healthily and exercising get's into some very good maintainable habits. Just keep up what you're doing.

i have been dieting myself and having a lot of success.

I have been doing some reading on ways to eat ..and different food varieties..

One thing that i think has definitely helped my weight loss thus far is ..instead of having 3 meals a day ..i eat 6-8 small meals between 100-200 calories.. i'm never hungry and i am making much healthier food choices.

Great job on the 10lbs!! I know how much blood sweat and tears goes into every single lb!!

How have you been losing weight? are you on any kind of a plan?

Good Job! I am on the NEVER ENDING diet myself. My doctor suggested a 2 day juice fast to cleanse the colon and jump start my diet. I lost like 7 lbs just doing that and it was easier to eat less afterwards.... until the vacation that killed it all.

Maybe that would work for you?

If you are just looking to lose 20 pounds don't sweat it, the next 10 will come off in time just doing as you are now.

The only real trick to losing weight is burning more calories then you take in, well without starving yourself. Usually eating multiple meals with enough balance in carbs, protein, and good fats should do the trick. Obviously get your vitamins too, stay away from fruit and stick to veggies.

If someone is really trying to cut calories you want to avoid fruit because of the natural sugar fructose. While not as bad a process sugar a lot of people who diet tend to thing it's okay to eat a lot of fruit. Don't get me wrong, fruit is great for you otherwise. It's a great alternative to candy or other sweets and are loaded with nutrients your body needs.

Fortunately the same nutrients can be found in other food sources without all the calories.

wouldn't it matter the time of day you eat fruit.. for instance.. i wouldn't go and have an orange right before bed..but as an afternoon snack ... i think an orange, peach or grapes are an ideal diet snack?

Please don't get me wrong .. i'm not arguing in the least.... but what other low fat low cal option is there besides fruit?

I started eating oatmeal, absolutely hated in the past but now mix scrambled egg whites and some ham/sausage. It keeps me full for at least three hours with 1/2 cup which is very rare since I get hungry at least every 1.5~2 hrs!

Healthy carbs = Feeling fuller longer

Congrats on losing 10 lbs butterfly!
