Eating right involves making choices.
If you get hungry at mid-day you can buy a burger and fries or reach for a apple and PBJ in your backpack. You can drop a bag of cookies or potato chips into a shopping cart instead of yogurt or apples. You can cook heathy food or go out for a pizza. If you don't buy junk, you can't eat it. |

Honestly, I think that your weight is quite good, girls tend to make problems out of it without any need But you have to start eating fruits and vegetables, low fat food because of your health.. Junk food will make you lots of problems with heart, blood, muscles.. And problems appear later when it's too late to do anything about it.. So take care of yourself, do some sports and be happy with yourself! Great results will come soon I'm sure One more thing, you will do yourself great favour not eating after 7 p.m. After that time our body is preparing for sleeping and metabolism becomes even slower.. Not to mention that in the evening you are just sitting or laying and all fats are free to stick to where they are not supposed to be.. Cause you have no need for them, energy flows during the day.. Make a breakfast main meal!

The thing that motivated me the most(and still is motivating me) is how great I will look and feel when I have my desired body. Mind if I give you some tips on how to lose weight also?
1. Like you said, eat healthy and FREQUENTLY. You should eat 5 small meals a day as opposed to 3 large meals. It helps maintain your metabolism instead of it slowing down immensely when you are not eating and are hungry. Eating breakfast is crucial because it gives you energy throughout the day and try to eat a small dinner because most people are less active after dinner and they tend to be lazy, so the less food in your body after dinner, the less fat buildup and weight gain. 2. Do more cardio if possible. Jog, swim, bike, jumprope, kickbox, etc.... It is also better to do this in the morning because you haven't eaten anything in the last 8 hours you have almost no calories from anything you've eaten recently so your body starts feeding off your stored bodyfat, so when you are doing your cardio workout(do it before you eat breakfast) your metabolism increases immensely and it burns your fat. 3. Weight lift or do other forms of exercises to get your muscles working, more muscle means a faster metabolism as well. And just try to motivate yourself and after a hard day of working out don't be afraid to reward yourself with something you like. Even soome sweets are good for you. |

You have a choice:
- continue doing what you're doing and complain about it (not a good idea...your friends will run away - continue doing what you're doing and being aware that you can't be more disciplined and happy by the way you are. - start making small changes for a start only because of your health.

Hey there,
Try making very small goals for yourself in the beginning so you do not get overwhelmed and then feel frustrated, leading you to quit. Start off with eliminating certain kinds of things from your diet instead of changing everything all at once. For instance, do you drink a lot of soda and or/juices? Sodas and so forth have a lot of hidden calories. So cut back on the soda if you drink a lot of it. Or drink diet if you can. Also, drink A LOT of water throughout the day if you do not already. Water has so many benefits such as aiding in metabolizing food, flushes out the internal organs, hydrates skin and eyes, also many people confuse dehydration with hunger. Drink water and see how you feel a bit later. If you drink coffee a great and add all that junk to it, like at Starbucks, again many hidden and unecessary calories. Leave out all that extra cream, whipped cream, syrups and so forth. Try non-fat milk, a tiny bit of sugar (do not use artifical sweeteners, not good for you at all). Salads-do you put gobs and gobs of heavy dressing on them and then load it with cheese, bacon, all that jazz? If so, eat your salad with the dressing on the side and dip your fork in the dressing first then eat a bite of salad. You will be amazed at how much dressing you will not use. Try it and see for yourself. If you like cheese on your salad, perhaps try just a tiny sprinkle of regular cheese or lower fat cheese. Ice cream-perhaps try a flavor of frozen yogurt instead. If you must have the goodies, do it in small sizes. Like instead of getting that extra large chocolate frosty at Wendy's, get a child size or small. You only need like one or two bites, anything more is just unnecessary indulgences. Start of with small changes and work your way up. You can have candy and sweets but just do not go overboard. I do not believe in deprevation but moderation. Okay exercise: You need to exercise to loose weight in a healthy manner. And losing 1-2 pounds per week is ideal. You may loose a lot in the beginning, but that is just water weight. It will slow down as you loose the water weight. Try doing little things in the beginning, like taking the stairs instead of the elevator (even at the mall), park a little further away in the parking lot. Also, try walking around the neighborhood, start off small and work your way up. You need to make excerise a priority. No if's, and's or but's about it. Cardio is best for buring fat and weight training is best for muscle toning and building. Building muscle is great, the more muscle you have, the higher your metobolism will be, even when you are sitting down. You can go to the library and find books on working out and so forth. Also, ask your doctor. I cannot emphasize enough to start off small, make small goals and work your way up. I wish you all the best in your weight loss journey. You CAN do it!

Hang in there, k. I know exactly how you're feeling. I gained over 80lbs. after a very tramatic experience occured in my life.
I was binge eating all of the time and I couldn't seem to stop. The weight was painful to carry on my small frame and I was so depressed about the change in my looks, etc. I started therapy and the result has been amazing. I stopped binge eating, and I'm actually losing weight very quickly now. I'm becoming my old self again. I had tried all sorts of fad diets, and nothing was working for me. I think you should give therapy a try. It's very likely that your eating habits are linked to how you're feeling emotionally. Try not to stress to much about it, you will lose the weight even though at the moment it may seem like you never will. The best of luck to you! Sincerely, Grace |
