I would love to have kids, but need to put myself in a position of stability, career, finances, and stable marriage.

I would need to find the right person to have kids with first....and since I am not getting any younger, it might never happen. I'm fine with it however....

I know as an old phart this is beyond the scope of this survey, but I decided at 16 to get a vasectomy. I believed there were enough kids in the world without parents. In my early twenties I got vaccinated against daddyhood.
A gazillion years later, I've just never encountered an opportunity to adopt. I envy people who enjoy their children, and sometimes wonder what I missed.

I understood it that Dako chose at 16 to do it, but then ACTUALLY did it as soon as he was legally allowed to?

In England they wouldn't allow it to be done when the person is in their 20's unless they carry an illness that's genetic, etc.

I looked into having my own self done (T.L. since I'm female) and they told me they wouldn't do it before 18. I'm 24 now and still haven't had it done... But I dunno. Maybe. At some point I have to decide to stop taking hormone contraceptive, so I guess I'll decide then.

I find it weird that someone couldn't have a surgery like that before their 30's... Interesting. They should trust peoples' decision about their own future. I knew I did not want kids EVER from the time I was very young. I hate that people still say "you'll change your mind" and in a way preventing someone from deciding to have permanent birth control surgery done is like saying "you'll change your mind" haha!
