Talking Exercise Challenge

It's getting nice out! I challenge those of you who might have couch potato tendancies to get out and exercise EVERY DAY for 30 min- 1 hour. This can be as simple as a walk. Its NOT a weight loss challenge! Post your goals and reasons for wanting to improve your physical health, as well as what exercise you have done today!

For me, it is really healthy for my baby to exercise daily. Plus it will make my labor easier, and to shed the extra mommy fat quicker after the little one pops out. I haven't gotten off my rump too much yet but I am planning on going for a hike in a little while here. JOIN ME!

Good for u fly!

I just did thirty minutes of strength yoga and about ten or fifteen of other toning excersises (pushups, situps, squats). I decided the hike was out today because I am still battling a cold, but maybe tomorrow!

Tsk... I am disappointed more ppl don't want to get off their butts. I KNOW you're out there. In Canada, everyone pays high taxes so that we can all have health care. Cardiovascular disease and diabetes as a result of obesity are SERIOUS COSTS to your health and to our wallets.

I also want more preggos on this thread!

I love working out, I feel completely energized afterwards and ready to go! But it's still tough to find the motivation now that hockey training is over.

I just joined a workout program at the gym with a friend just for fun. Signing up for the program was very helpful cause it forces me to actually make the time to go the gym. Taking a friend makes it alot more comfortable and fun, and the shirtless guys aren't too bad either

Thanks for the challenge. Even though I walk to class everyday(takes 15 min. to walk from dorm to class) I need to exercise more. I am in starting today.

I'm in! But can I cut it down to a minimum of 15 minutes per day? I get tired really easily these days.. Today I was good - I walked to the mall (20 minutes)

Of course Hazey! You could try (if you want) breaking it up. Like walk to the mall, then this evening go for a jont around the block to get the extra ten minutes. It is still really good for us preggos.
