Any ideas what my dreams might mean?

I have had two dreams recently quite similar in theme.
In the first I was with my b/f in a huge outdoor barn. All of its walls where made of glass. We were in the barn to escape from the storm that was approaching us at a speedy rate. The clouds were ominous and black and the lightening struck all around us in quick succession in a threatening way as if it was trying to hit us. My b/f in the dream could fly and was carrying me around the barn to avoid being struck. He kept brushing my feet against the metal beams though and I remember being worried in case I got struck via the beams.
The second dream I had last night.
I was out in the middle of fields with my mum. We were painting and suddenly black clouds formed in the distance and I had the same feeling of being hunted by the storm. Bright electric blue forks of lightening were visible on the horizon and we started to run to the safety of the town. It had already been struck though and much of it was on fire. My mum was leading the way through the streets to a safer place which we couldn't find and then I woke up.
Any insight into my dreams would be much appreciated!

I always dream alot when I sleep..In my dreams I always dream of having a gf, Each dream everyday is always a different girl.. It always having good, fun times together and doing different activities..It seems so real but it sucks when I wake up cause I know it wasn't real, it was just a dream..Sometimes my dreams are so good that I don't wanna wake up at all..I love dreams..Dreams are the best thing for me because its the only time I get to spend time with a girl...I think I always dream of girls and having a gf in my dreams because I guess I am hurt and feel so empty and lonely inside that I never had a gf yet and always wanted one since I was an early teen and dreams makes it so realistic.

I love dream interpretation. Okay from my book of 1001 Dreams:

Darkness: darkness descending may suggest that repressive froces in the unconscious are preventing the dreamer from dealing with important but uncomfortable feelings or thoughts in the conscious mind

Storms: Storms may express the dreamer's own rage or perhaps evoke the anger, as with thunder, of a fierce authority figure. The dream-storm may also conjure up the excitement of tumultuous passions which dreamers desire as a change from the banality of daily routine

Cloud: The appearance of a cloud may suggest the obscuring of insight. The commonly depicted image of someone floating on a celestial cloud may express the dreamer's desire to make the idea of death more palatable.

Flying: dreams of flying through the air may convey a sensation of ease and elation. Wholly detached from preoccupations of the material world, dreamers may feel on an exalted spiritual plane, at one with the universe. Flying may point to a need to get your emotional bearings by taking an overview of the many aspects of your life.

Lightening: Lightening can suggest inspiration or a flash of brilliance that is impressive or short-lived. As the phenomenon that sparks fire on earth, lightening also has a sexual symbolism of sperm

Thank you Hosswhispra! A lot of the interpretations are very relevant to me. Especially the storms interpretation and the banality of everyday life. I feel in a bit of a rut at the moment!
