Question most wonderful time of the year

I have been seeing someone for a few months now...... we both don't make much money and now it is the season of spending money... yikes!!! What in your opinion is a good price range to spend on a gift? I got 2 things for him(both related to a topic he loves) for about $35. Is that a good range?

I think anything under $50.00 is a good price range. It's not the cost. It's the thought that counts.

I make a decent income, and I usually spend $50 per person I am close to. I can find thoughtful gifts (or make them!) for that cost and have both quality and quantity under that tree! I don't think spending more than that really promises a better gift. The thought counts more than the price tag!
