I exercise for 1-2hrs/day, 6 days a week, then take a 1 day break.

I do cardio for 30-45min and then weights for the rest, and if I am really feeling it, I will do an aerobics class.

I run every other day rather than days in a row.

About 3.5 miles 3 mornings a week.

Then gym at night 2/3 times a week.

And in the summers, add basketball and baseball on the weekends.

I'm not sure if teaching dance qualifies because my students do a lot of the physical work. I'll do a lot, but not all depending on the class. Outside of teaching I usually take a 1 1/2 hr ballet class for myself once a week and yoga once a week in the mornings. I belong to a gym, so sometimes I'll take other classes depending on my mood.

I run about 18-25 miles a week over 3-4 days, I also do cross training with my cycling 2-3 days a week, some weight training 1-2X, and yoga almost daily. I do most of this very early morning before classes these days.

I usually take one day off a week, varied when I am feeling ill, or overtrained of course.

It all depends on your own personal goals, own personal recovery needs (recovery is good, and every few weeks you should also take an easier week. You get stronger in between workouts as your rebuild muscle, if you don't you just break it down further and further without gain), age, fitness goals, life balance/schedule.

I can't run right now, but I ran every other day, or every two days. I'm older though; in my teens and twenties, I ran five days a week with weekends off.

Man I wish I could exercise that much but the sports, especially the baseball drains me. Pitching is so exhausting on your arms and body.

I know, I do racing in mountain biking, some running; and on race weeks I definitely need more recovery as the physical and mental output tends to be a lot higher than when you are training, or just exercising.

The pitching is the hardest part. Arm is so sore for days sometimes, I couldnt imagine using them.

Injuries seems to be my other obsticle. I get hurt a lot.
