gotta love reading what people think "causes homosexuality"...

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
this is one of my favorit quotes.
Psychotherapy claims about a 30% cure rate, and religious commitment seems to be the most helpful factor in avoiding homosexual habits.

Oh goodness, I think I've officially lost my appetite for the entire day after reading such an ignorant, misinformed, and biased article.

This whole topic is very complex and can become very heated at times, but I'm pretty sure that Mr. "Paul Cameron, Ph.D" has it all wrong.

The fact that they actually have other articles titled "The Plague, SARS, and Gay Rights" and "The High Cost of Sodomy" [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] speaks tons in and of itself. In fact they seem to have many articles about "sodomy". It seems to be a great interest area of theirs.

"religious commitment seems to be the most helpful factor in avoiding homosexual habits.

Yet then they have the following article:

"Child Molestation Among the Clergy"

If you understand the material that these groups are working with then you understand their point of view on homosexuality. Their views do not have to be correct but it is what they believe according to their cannon. They have interpreted scripture and believe that what they are doing is correct. If they believe that homosexuality is a sin then they are going to want to "cure" people of it. They will believe this regardless of what science or society has to say about homosexuality.

That group admits they do no research, they simply pass along antigay propaganda. Someday they'll join astrologers and phrenologists in the fringes, but not as long as some major religious groups embrace ignorance.

Hmmmm, I just might send them a card of thanks for writing some of the most ridiculous things I have ever read.

They have a "Dr. Kirk Cameron" there, too bad they ruined that name for me forever, I used to think Kirk Cameron was a little hottie back in the day of Growing Pains. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ])

Paul Cameron has been kicked out of the American Psychological Association AND the American Sociological Association for his fraudulent research practices. He's a NUT who's been devoting his life to making up crap about homosexuality and paying $27.50 per page to get it published in a bogus journal that is NOT peer reviewed.

Then the religious wackos quote him, because he still has "Dr." out in front of his name, and people actually BELIEVE his garbage.

Dr. Kirk Cameron? Omigod...LOL

It is just anti/ex-gay propaganda.

They'll say anything to prove that the Bible isn't 100% infallible.
