Is it better to....

...have hopes and dreams about the way you want things to be in your life (a common example is getting married and having kids)...or to have no expectations at all for the future (just because its so unpredictable) to avoid disappointment and heartache?

Its human to have dreams and hopes. We find this through many things, like religion, music, social groups, politics, etc. These are defining characteristics of being human. Its what we live for, we don't live by instinct, but by knowing there is something out there.

Its better to have hopes and dreams so we know what we are aiming for.

*Good career/success
*Finding true love and starting a family

It's essential to have hopes and dreams.
If you don't, and just give up, you may not be disappointed often, but you won't gain much either.

Its is great to Map out your future with goals,dreams... I suggest doing that without setting deadlines . You can always change your direction as far as you remember who you are where you come from and what you believe in.
I was left mapless when I walked out on my husband after 6 mnths of me trying to ask him to give me a second chance. When I waslked out that door I took a big breathe and was left mapless.... now I have dreams and goals but I dont over stress I just go with the flow and stick to my beliefs...
