Happiest Childhood memory

Here's something to put a smile on our faces. Remember those carefree days of childhood? Well what is your happiest childhood memory? Is it a Christmas or other holiday? Is it a camping trip with dad? Something else? Feel free to share so we can all be transported back in time to when life was simpler for us and fun was a more common occurence.

I have so many happy memories that I couldn't pick just one. I'd have to say family holidays where me and my older brother would share a room and just play with our toys and be so excited and not get to sleep.

Another one has to be Christmas and opening presents with my brother and being so excited the night before and not being able to sleep as we discussed what presents we thought we had and trying to find wacky ways to try and make us both fall asleep, including reading Beano comics till our eyes were sore!

That time my mum let me have a Fruit Roll-Up even though I had not finished all my dinner was pretty good.

So was the time I got a new snake for a pet, but had to flush the angel fish that died down the toilet around the same time - so I guess it was more happy-sad.

Mine was when I realised I no longer had to live in a fantasy-land and could deal with the real world. A rite of passage in its own way.

My happiest day was the day I moved out of the house and went to college.

Yep- seriously. We were waiting in the car for my dad who was buying a newspaper at the store, and we got out and walked into the grass by the side of the road, and there it was, a glorious yellow pile of feces.

Yum!

(oh and I ate ants too- NOT on accident...)
