Sick possibly mono
I have been feeling really ill today and yesterday. It started out with chills. Today my nose is running, my glands are really sore, bad headache, and a intense feeling of fatigue. Im pretty sure that I got mono, but haven't seen a doctor, what would be the best cure for this? I don't feel like being around anybody today or even talking to anyone, although tommorow I'm hoping to spend some time with my BF but don't want him to get sick. So far I just have been resting, and drinking fluids... anyways I can feel stronger?

Go see a doctor. Hopefully it is not mono. Go to the doctor and see what they say, and stay away from people until you find out what it is. Don't get your bf sick

If you think you have mono, then there really is nothing that's just going to make you better. Best go to the doctor and get tested tho to find out, because if you do, and you spend time with your b/f, then you can't really have any physical activity with him(kissing etc) or even sharing a cup/drink would get him sick. Mono's not fun, it sucks I know, but there's not really a quick cure either, just drink a lot of fluids like you've been doing and rest a lot, it can take like 6 weeks for the fatigue to go away. Again, getting tested would be better to make sure of it, because also I think something like your spleen is very tender at the time of having mono and could easily rupture based on certain physical activies.

Mono takes a long time to recover from... especially if you push yourself while it's active in you. I did, and ended up bombing my second semester of college too tired to do anything. Get tested and rest if positive... no contact either, it's not called the kissing disease for nothing. I got mine after sharing an ice cream spoon with my girlfriends college room mate one night...lol. Try explaining " Mono " to someone who thinks its the kissing disease...LITERALLY.

Sounds more like a flu to me, rather then mono. I had mono when I was a young teenager, and I could not even move out of bed for weeks. Then you have to be really careful for months after, as your spleen enlarges and can easily rupture.
Anyway, generally it presents itself differently then what you described...less flu/cold symptoms, more fatigue (and I mean intense) and often headaches and some other symptoms. I would just treat it as a flu for now, stay warm, very well hydrated, and away from too many people. If symptoms do not improve in 3-4 days, consult your doctor.
