Is 1 week too little time to ask someone to prom?

Do you think asking a girl out to prom just a week before it takes place is too late?

well you could give it a shot but there's a lot to consider.. for example she will have only one week to take care of....

*prom ticket cost
*new dress & shoes
*hair appointment
*canceling weekend plans

etc...

As long as you can still get the tickets, no I don't think it is too late. Go for it!

Tickets ($20) go on sale next week until Friday. Prom is on that Saturday night (11th).

Yeah right, a girl who wasn't going to prom before is n't going to worry about spending money on some hair appt. and dress. I say go for it easyguy, she'll probably be so thrilled that she gets to go to prom, that she won't care about all that other stuff. Don't feel like you have to get a limo or any of that expensive stuff either, just keep it simple and have a fun time.

Then yes, I think it is ok. If the girl doesn't already have a something she can wear, she'll find a way to get it. I only had a few weeks when I asked my date to prom - too late to get a tux, but he worked something out.

Especially if its a girl that's already decided to go, but hasn't got a date. I don't know how rare that is for people.. Everyone went to prom at my school.. date or no date. And at that, I agree with everyone else.. the girl will probably be thrilled last minute or no.

Well it's the school's Senior Prom, but non seniors can go as long as they are with a senior. The girl I have in mind is a junior (I'm a senior).

I'm gonna ask her the first chance I get when she isn't with her friends beside her.

Ok so I had planned on asking her today but she was never NOT with her friends. I'm thinking of calling her later and asking her that way. Is that a good idea?
