8 month old...what to feed her next?


Im 22 years old and i have a 8 month old baby girl...She only likes things she can put in her own mouth and i have been giving her,figure foods they say to give baby's her age...
I was just wondering what other parents have been or have, given there child?

I don't have a baby, but a girlfriend of mine does and she lives by this site;

What I have done and my friends all have done, is if your child has its teeth well some of them anyway, and is able to chew up soft foods, there is nothing wrong with feeding her whatever she likes, just as long as the pieces of food are cut up into tiny pieces, tiny enough that she would not choke on them. At 8 months, my son what was pretty much eating the same foods we were.

If your baby is ready for finger foods, by all means let her have them. Bananas, french fries, green beans, etc. Just make sure she can mush them with her gums until she gets her teeth in.
