Do funny girls have the last laugh (date)?

Apparently, everyone is looking for agood sense of humour in a mate. Well, according to this article and 'scientific research', men and women have a different idea of 'sense of humour'.

According to the article

".... it appears that there is a difference in what men and women mean by a ‘sense of humour.’ What women mean by a sense of humour seems to be someone who will make them laugh, whereas what men mean seems to be someone who will laugh at their jokes.”

What do you think?

(I'm taking this with a grain of salt, but often there is SOME truth to these so-called scientific studies...

.... maybe!!)

Then it's still a one way thing.
The man still has to put in the effort to be thier type of comedian if this is correct.

Great more things a guy has to be.

I mean does a female have to work on finding things funny?

personally i think that a sense of humor is the ability to recognise and distribute funny conversations. So saying that women are funny and men want people to laugh is... well its a joke.

i believe that a sense of humor means you can laugh at a good joke and tell a good joke too. its not one or the other

No, this post was actually supposed to show how much easier it is for men to be funny than women.

many females would read it is, "Ahh... so guys are turned off if i steal their thunder"

Where as you read it as, "Waah... so ANOTHER thing us poor guys have to do!"

I have to admit though.. I don't find many female comedians very funny. I like crass offensive humour, but when a woman does it, it just isn't as funny.

most female comedians just seem to joke about periods and men and ex husbands.

most funny guys are..... guys!

I guess I must be the oddball, because I like funny girls. If a girl makes me laugh, she's golden.

I will not date a man that I don't think is funny, but I have to be able to make him laugh too.

This sounds about right for me. Probably the number 1 thing I look for in any friend is someone who can make me laugh, which may be a bit hypocritical because I can't make jokes to save my life. People often laugh at me because I'm silly though. Don't know if that counts.

Yeah, I once dated a guy who never laughed at my jokes (maybe i just wasn't funny.. ha!) and he never laughed at himself or at anything either... not did he even attempt to be funny... bleh!
