  1. I might get crap for this but looking online today, and anyone watch jersey shore? Sammi and Ronnie and are back together baahhaa
  2. Got two stories , this one is about one of my high school friends and her boyfriend- I'll call them Marisa and mike. Happy Sunday! For them, it all started back in freshmen year of high school; they became the best of friends yet there was no romantic feelings for each other yet. She got into a relationship with some other guy and they went out for the next two years. The relationship had a lot of ups and downs and mike was always there to comfort Marisa throughout the breakups. Somewhere throughout those two years, they began to develop feelings for each other and once they were both single, they decided to give their relationship a go. It was wonderful although they also had their ups and downs, as well as Marisa's old boyfriend coming back into the picture, confusing her about what she really wanted. Mike and Marisa broke up and she tried to work things out with her ex. Their senior year of high school, Mike transferred to another high school and Marisa remained single to work on herself. They both parted ways and didn't stay in touch for the next year as they got busy enjoying their single life as well as their last year of high school. About one year later, they both ran into each other at a mutual friends' house and all the old feelings came back, but their timing was still not right. Mike had a girlfriend and Marisa had started dating some other guy. They both remained in contact with each other while their feelings continued to develop. They both were very jealous of each other's relationship but wouldn't cross that line. A couple months later, they both decide that they can't go on pretending to be friends when they feel so much more for each other. They ended up breaking up with their SO and started over. This was over four years ago. They are still together to this day. Throughout these last couple years, they did have two minor breakups but they have come out so much stronger. They still have their arguments like everyone else but they handle it so much better. They have both graduated college and are now looking to move in together as well as have the talk about marriage and all. one more story about one of my guy friends. Him and his girlfriend have been going out for five years. Some where during the two year mark, they started having a lot of arguments, to the point that they couldn't go a day without getting down each other's throat. He called it off saying he needed some space away from her. She took it really hard but accepted it. They both tried to do NC but it was hard since they lived together in an apartment and had the same friends. They stayed in touch and were in contact but it was hard for them as they both still had feelings for each other as well as anger and resentment. Anyways, to make a long story short, 4-5 months later, they patched things up and got back together. They have just celebrated their five year anniversary and are taking the next big step of moving in together and planning out the rest of their lives.
  3. I will admit, I didn't see it coming at all! I thought the ex was history! Feel bad for the other girl but it's best to be honest when you're heart is still with someone else. Either way, keep us posted!
  4. haha you have my support kid. Life is all about being happy and if this is what you want, then Im happy for you. My only hope is that she continues to appreciate you and you both continue working on yourselves, growing and supporting each other. good luck and continue keeping us posted : )
  5. Wow, that is a weird story. Do you think Fi had a sex change for your sister?
  6. Just heard three getting back together stories on the radio lol. I heard the last one...the lady marries the love of her life and they live happily for three years until they get divorced. They move on with their lives and FIFTEEN YEARS later they bump into each other again. They are getting remarried this summer on the beach.
  7. heard another getting back together story last night : They went out for about 5 years and they broke up. Not sure why they broke up. They didn't end things on a good note as there was a lot of anger and hurt on both sides. The guy rebounded a month later and got into a relationship with another girl for the next 8 months. She went into NC but she periodically would hear from him. It would be meaningless text messages or late night drunk calls. The guy broke up with his rebound and went back to her. She was still really angry with him. The guy poured his heart out to her in emails and letters. He wasn't a very open person to begin with, so to see him openly pour his heart out to her was really eye opening. Still she refused to talk to him. After some time had passed, she couldn't hold it in anymore. She realized she had missed him a lot and that she did want to be with him. She had never told him how she had felt after he had poured his heart out to her. She had just stayed silent and refused to speak to him. I guess it all got to her so she called him up to meet. they are now back together taking things slowly. I believe their separation period was about a year.
  8. found another NC success story A friend of mine went out with her boyfriend for a year all of a sudden he said "I need a break" and she respected that, but a couple weeks later she went to his house and he came out and said "I need to be alone... I met someone else" she was crushed but she did not talk to him because she would be "damned" if she contacted him. Well a month later they got back together but then a week later he went right back to the other girl, and she said "**** this" and ignored him. Anyways he always contacted her (mind you he went weeks with out calling her probably even a month or two) but she never contacted him. Well 5 months later he started asking her to be with him again and she said "no sorry" and she STILL did not contact him, only he contacted her and that was the only time she would talk to him. 10 months after breaking up she sent him a text, and he called her and said "I tried replacing you, but no girl is YOU!" so she said "you can come down for a few hours but no promises" and 6 years and 2 kids later they are still really happy.
  9. yay for all the success stories we have been hearing lately! hopefully there are more to come : )
  10. wow kid! things seem to be going great! p.s. your ex really effed up lol.
  11. I heard a great story tonight at my best friends house. It's about her older sister and her boyfriend- I will call them Cassie and mark. Cassie and Mark were going out for 2 or three years in college but broke up because Mark wasn't sure of what he wanted. Mark had a reputation for being a party guy and for getting the attention of the ladies. He didn't cheat or anything, but I don't think he was ready to be in serious relationship at that time. They lived in the dorms so they saw each other often. Cassie was really heartbroken over the breakup but she threw herself into her school work and spending time with her friends. Not sure what Mark was doing in his spare time. About 6 or 7 months passed and Cassie was doing much better. She was going out with friends and basically taking the time to meet new people. One night, Mark saw her go on a date with another guy and he lost it. Something snapped in him and all these feelings for Cassie came back. He decided he wanted to be with her. It took some time to get back together as Cassie was really hurt over their breakup and after talking things out; she told him that he would have to be serious and start being a boyfriend to her; that she was not going to put up with his crap and he agreed that he would step up and be serious. Four years later they are doing well and as I finish writing this story, Cassie walks into the living to show off her engagement ring to everyone!
  12. I found some stories from a while back here on ENA from past users...really liked the stories so Im putting them on this thread : ) #1: Buddy of mine dumped his girlfriend of 2+ years summer before starting medical school. Typical GIGS. She was heartbroken and moved to another city 3 hours away. After starting med school he began dating another girl. After 4 months with this new girl he realized how much he missed the ex. Called her a few weeks later. She visited a few weeks after that. They got married 2 years later and now have 2 young kids. #2: This girl I know was moving to Columbus, OH from NYC to start her medical residency. She had met her boyfriend during the 3rd-year of medical school and they had dated for a little over a year when she dumped him, about a month before moving away. Claimed she had doubts about the relationship, espicially with her moving away. Four months later and working her butt of as a medical intern she realized what a huge mistake she had made. Called him up to reconcile. He basically told her to on the phone. A friend of hers told her to "not take no for an answer" and encouraged her to show up at his doorstep. She did exactly that. The relationship was rekindled over the next few months. They will be getting married in 2 months. Both these scenarios were typical GIGS. I think a key point in both of these relationships was that they were both very good relationships, with no real major points of contention. Simply one person had to go through that phase where they question the relationship. #3) buddy of mine is getting married this summer. About a year into their relationship his g/f dumped him. Stated the old "I don't know what I want." She truly meant it. She wasn't dating anyone else, just had to clear her head. My friend was crushed. Two months later she calls out of the blue and apologizes, 'fesses up to her mistake, and asks for a second chance. Since then they have broken up two more times and have got back together. Their wedding is in 6 weeks. #4) A guy I became friend with in med school got dumped by his girlfriend the summer before med school. They had dated for over 2 years in undergrad. He was head-over-heels in love with her, wanted to marry her, etc...my buddy was a real "catch" if you will. Good-looking, athletic guy who was a really good person. He was crushed after the break-up. He had no problem meeting girls; in fact, he was basically with a new girl every couple of weeks for the first 2 years of med school. But I could tell he was never quite over the ex. He didn't get into any type of meaningful relationships with any of these new girls. Then a couple of months into our third-year of medical school, completely out of the blue, the ex-girlfriend calls him up and tells him what a huge mistake she had made. They've been married almost 5 years now. #5) A friend of mine had a good 1 yr+ relationship. towards the end, her bf didnt know what he wanted (GIGS), wasnt sure if he wanted to move, where his life was going and they broke up. They stayed close for a while, first he chased her then she chased him. He then started getting distant and ten started dating a girl and she asked him not to contact her anymore. She knew his email password and would check it regularly, seeing how proud he was of having this new girl, sending pics of her to his friends etc. 2 months later, she gets a call from him saying how he made a big mistake and that every time he was with this other girl he thought of her. They are now back together.
  13. ahhh I found one about a woman's marriage that almost failed...Here's her success story. My husband of then 17 years had an affair with a woman he was involved in scouting with, they had intentions of moving me out of the house and her moving in with her two boys. She and my husband planned to fight for custody of my 5 boys. I was supposed to just leave willingly and leave behind my children, my house and 17 years of marriage. Wasn't going to happen. Well after talking to the other woman on the phone I found out that my husband believed I had stopped loving him and that " I " wanted a divorce. We lost our 21 day old daughter some years before and he mistakingly believed that because he was watching her at the time that I blamed him for her death. He had been under that misconception for many years. He was unhappy with himself and because he never communicated his guilt and feelings to me I was never able to set him straight. After the affair came out and after we were separated for a month he filed for divorce. I was notified that the person was coming to serve me with my papers, the first person I called was my husband. I asked him to please be with me when I was being served as no matter what I still considered him my best friend. He showed up and I was served, with him as my support. A couple of days after my being served he got himself a duplex and he was having problems getting the things he needed for it, he asked the scout woman for help with decorating it and furnishing it. She said she would be glad to help but she never came through. I did not know that he had asked her for help and he was very surprised when I showed up at the duplex with a new set of dishes, pans and dish towels. He asked me at that time if I could help him get a microwave and some other things, so we went on a shopping trip. He asked me after we left the store why I had helped him, and I told him that I couldn't bear to think of him in that duplex without having him being comfortable. Well to make a long story somewhat shorter , that answer led to him cancelling the divorce. He remained in the duplex for six months and we took that time to rediscover each other. We have been going to marriage counseling for a year and a half at the cost of 8000 a year but we have been back together for that year and a half and things seem to be greatly improved! We are talking and communicating and have a much better marriage then we have in years. I know this was long winded .. Sorry Another posters story: Success story here. My boyfriend of 3 years and I have broken up twice...first i did, then 6 months later he did. I think we both went through the same thing- uncertainty, fear, interest in other people. But after time apart, and resolving our respective "issues", we have come to love and respect each other more than ever. Another: my boyfriend and I started dating in May of last year. Within the first four months we broke up three times. The third time we broke up for a month. I did do NC for a week, mostly because he asked me to so he could "get over" me. Yeah, well, guess ya don't get over a beautiful woman who treats you like gold, because we got back together a few weeks after that week of NC. I basically focused on myself, did my own thing, and didn't call him, a method I still use to this day. I let him chase me, not the other way around. I've noticed that when I do chase him, he seems less interested. I'll always remember that night when, after spending a day together and with some mutual friends, he called me shortly after I got home at midnight and basically let out that he missed me and still wanted me. We've been together for more than 16 months now.
