THE NO CONTACT CHALLENGE - SuperDave71
keefy1972 replied to SuperDave71's topic in Getting Back Together
That is how you know it's getting better. It may not feel like it, but once you stop mentally emphasizing the no contact so much, then you can truly begin to heal.- 13,452 replies

THE NO CONTACT CHALLENGE - SuperDave71
keefy1972 replied to SuperDave71's topic in Getting Back Together
After 35 days or so of NC, I fell off of the wagon and made contact three times in the past week. She was responsive but I think another 30 days will do me good. Just like Whitesnake, "Here I go Again".- 13,452 replies

THE NO CONTACT CHALLENGE - SuperDave71
keefy1972 replied to SuperDave71's topic in Getting Back Together
Hey guys, I am on day 30 right now. I never officially joined in this particular challenge, but I did it on my own. The key is to get involved in something else, become passionate about it, and the time just flies by. Before you know it you are going to be surprised that so much time has passed. I had to have someone remind me that today was day 30. What a shocker.- 13,452 replies

THE NO CONTACT CHALLENGE - SuperDave71
keefy1972 replied to SuperDave71's topic in Getting Back Together
Guys this thread is just too long for me to go through and read all of the posts, so I will simply ask, what are you doing to make productive use of this no contact period? Are you simply willing your way through the days, marking them down as they pass, or are you actually doing mental and physical work on yourselves to make them count??- 13,452 replies

Mental health's ruining my relationship =(
keefy1972 replied to Kimmikazi's topic in Health: Body, Mind and Spirit
I agree with annie's post on this one about telling him a little bit about it. However, what troubles me is where you said, upon finding out about your not going in to work, he replied with, " Kim, I'm starting to really think otherwise of you...I put myself in this relationship because I thought you were responsible and had your priorties straight". It wasn't, "No? Is everything okay? Are you okay? What's going on?" Which is what I would consider to be normal. In that respect I think you had every right to go off on him a little because he didn't show any compassion or concern for you. What's the deal with that? From what you said in your post, he seems to be someone that's propped himself up on some pedestal, and that you should consider yourself lucky to be with him. He stinks of arrogance and, if I were you, would seriously consider questioning why I'm even in a relationship with him. I would think you would want to be with someone that is a little more compassionate and understanding. It's one thing to be goal-oriented, but it's an entirely different ballgame when you start using that as a reason to be dating someone. That has a "She is goal oriented, good, I won't have to support and provide for her" type of sound to it. That equals selfishness to me. I could be wrong but that is my opinion.- 7 replies

if you're not intereseted, simply say no thanks that no longer interests me. If so, then talk about it but only that. No mention of her birthday or anything. Keep it professional. Mirror what she's been giving you.

You never know Clementine...a dream of theirs may be to someday be on one of those "Girls Gone Wild...Spring Break" Videos. Takes all sorts to make this wonderful world go round.

If you must, just keep it strictly business. If he tries to sway the conversation towards your personal lives then simply tell him it's inappropriate to talk about that at work, not to mention, it's none of his business what you're doing and who you are seeing. It's tough to do but it can be done. If you are truly fed up then you should begin to act like you're fed up.

Be the bigger person and find new places to hang out. If it bothers YOU that much then it's YOU that needs to make some changes.

Ahhhh...Destin...derrrrr....anyways, it's around spring break time so there will be loads of parties going on up there. You've chosen a great time to come, if you're into that, and you're not all that far from Orlando and Tampa. You know, the theme park central. Disney, epcot, universal, sea world, busch gardens, adventure island, islands of adventure. Just have fun man.
