  1. I started a new job, 6 months ago..1 reason I really took it is b/c my old employer had rumors flying that our office was moving from CT to MN, which, I wasn't cool with...now, I've been here 6 months, enjoy it, but, don't love it..a possibility that I may be offered a new job, this week with another company..is, 6 months too short a time to bounce onto a new job...money will be better, much larger company, etc...your thoughts?
  2. .I am the proud father of a newbary baby girl, she is 3 weeks old today. She will take great naps during the day, however, she has to be held by either myself or my wife, 5 min's after we put her down, she'll wake up and fuss and as soon as we pick her up, right back to sleep. This is starting to carry over at night, too. we have a co-sleeper which she will sleep for an hour or two in, but once she wakes up to eat, she'll fall back asleep but once we put her back in the co-sleeper she wines and cries and morning comes and there she is, in our bed sleeping in her boppy. Anyone have any advice as to how we can get our little girl to sleep on her own? My sister in law had the same problem with her son, and he's now 14 months old and still sleeping in between mom and dad!!! I don't want that to be me!!
  3. my wife was back at the dr's yesterday with some more spotting, she's at the end of her 17th week, the dr told her she has a low lying placenta. Has anyone had this? I don't think that it is anything to be overly concerned about, only if her bleeding picks up, but again, it's just some spotting of dark brown (old) blood..she has to limit her activitie for the next two weeks and see if she has anymore spotting. from what I have read, as you go further into your pregnancy, the body naturally pulls the placenta away from the cervix, but I was just wondering if anyone else has ever had or heard of this condition. Thanks!!
  4. well, my wife is no a happy 12 weeks pregnant. we had an emergency ultrasound performed at the ER and everything is fine..we have an appointment this friday for doppler to hear the heartbeat...what a scary weekend that was, but thank goodness everything is fine...now, can we start to have sex again..lol..
  5. ..there's more spotting today...my wife is on the way to a clinic to have blood tests done then we have another ultrasound this afternoon to look for a heartbeat..I hope this spotting is "normal" and there is nothing serious going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. ...she said the spotting was dark brown which makes me think it was old blood, possibly a result of the ultrasound on monday. from what I have read online if it's brown in color it's old blood and shouldn't be a concern...there was no blood the next time she used the bathroom, so, hopefully that was it....we'll see...
  7. my wife is 8 weeks pregnant, we had an internal exam/ultrasound on monday, today she called me from work, crying, that she had some spotting (blood on her underwear and toilet paper) ...is this normal? from what I have just read online, that it is common following an internal exam, but it's 3 days later! we saw the heartbeat and everything looked fine..dr said she may spot after intercourse, which we haven't had recently, but again, I did read she could spot after an ultrasound and this could be old blood that is just making it's way out now..my wife is very concerned b/c we have been trying for 12 months, her cousin has been trying for 2 yrs and miscarried after 8 weeks and another co-worker just miscarried after in vitro---any suggestions how to calm her down, myself as well, now?!?!
  8. I get extremely jealous of family and friends that make more money than I do, I don't make a ton, but I do ok for myself. But when I hear that a cousin, brother, uncle, best friend, co-worker makes more money than me, I get so jealous it almost makes me mad..anyone have any ideas as to how I can stop feeling this way? I mean I'm happy that these people in my lives are doing well financially, but I just hate that they are doing better than me...anyone feel this way?
