  1. I'm just wondering how long it takes to get over someone you love. I haven't talked to my ex fiance since January, it's now june and not a day has gone by without my thinking of her. I've spent $8500 on drugs in the last few months. I'm now sober, but went through a phase where I was drinking a 5th a night of gin or vodka for a few months. I'm still deppressed, when my friends talk to me they always ask me what's wrong, they know I'm not myself and I havent been since she left me. When I find a girl I'm attracted to I blow her off, even if she comes on to me. I'm just hesitant to fall back into this painful cycle again. Is it really worth it to fall in love?
  2. I bought my first 2 houses when I was 18 and rented them out. Two years later I still own them and can tell you what it's like to manage them. Landlords hire property managers to handle the rentals for them. The property manager takes on the job keeping the rental occupied by a well qualified applicant and enforcing the rules. The PM has to advertise the unit for rent, has to screen applicants, has to collect deposit and rent, and has to evict. Advertising consists of a yard sign and an ad in the local paper. Screening is the most important. You make the future tenant fill out an application, then run a credit check on them. You as the PM have to read through the credit report and make sure the applicant doesn't have a history of payment problems and evictions. You have to call their work and verify employment, and call their previous landlord to get a reference. Then you have the qualified applicant sign a lease. When something breaks in the unit or there is a problem you are the one who gets the phone call anytime 24 hours a day. If the toilet won't flush at 3:00am you're the one dealing with it, when the sewer pipe backs up and floods the basement with sewage at 11:00pm on christmas eve you're the one dealing with it. When tenants don't pay the rent you are the one who has to post the 3 day pay or quit notice, and then file for eviction with the court. You are the one who has to go to court on the date they give you and plead your case with the judge. You are the one standing there 2 weeks later with the sheriff escorting the family you're renting to's belongings out to the sidewalk in an eviction. While their kids are crying and the tenants screaming at you and once their stuff's all out you are the one who gets to change the locks. But then you can go 6 months without having even a call when everythings working. Sometime's you'll have everyone calling you at once and then you'll have times where no one calls you except to deliver the rent. I've seen PM's working for anywhere from 6% to 10% of the rents, or half the first months rent. If you could get enough units to make this work you could make as much money as you want. And you can refine it to make things run smoothly and filing eviction becomes as trivial as tying your shoe.
  3. You should go to your high school counselors and ask if they offer a post secondary program. I believe every state has it...I used it in ohio. I moved from southern cali to amish country ohio my freshman year and I dreaded school every day. I was going to drop out, I took 2 study halls every quarter, I never did any homework, and hated school. Finally I found out about the post secondary program in Ohio. I enrolled in this and only stepped foot inside my high school 1 more time after 10th grade...at graduation. If you can get into post secondary you can go to college instead of high school. Most high schools don't like it because the money they would get for you will then go to the college, so they make it a fight. The good thing, when you're in the program, you no longer work with the school, you go to college and your courses count for high school and college at the same time. The money that would go to your high school then pays for your college books and classes. You also schedule your own classes so you can start school at noon if you like and sleep in while your friends are all at school. And the best thing of all is most colleges have a 4 day week...not many classes on fridays so you usually get a 3 day weekend. In ohio the minimum GPA is 2.3 to qualify.
  4. I too have taken a year off...it'll end next monday when I close on my 3rd home and move to give a jump start to things. Last summer I came here to the beach to vacation for 2 weeks, that was last May and I'm still here. Before that I'd just graduated with an associates in IT, finished my real estate licensing/classes, bought 2 houses and rehabbed and rented them out, and just come out of a 3 year relationship...things were changing all at once and I finally just came here, bought a boat, bought a car, and haven't gone back to school or got a serious job yet. I've travelled around and met people, taken a road trip for a month and 16,000 miles with an illegal russian girl, gone to every major city you can think of, driven for a month through mexico, guatamala, belize, honduras, nicaragua, el salvador, and costa rica, and wondered in my mind if it's worth it, asking myself if I'm being productive. It's better to finish all the things you've started before taking a year off. Education should be one of the more important things as much as it doesn't seem like it, think of what degree you want and just do it, otherwise your situation in life will change and it will be 10 times harder. College does more than just give you knowledge, it gives you confidence, it challenges you and builds up characteristics that will help you through life.
  5. If she was cute I'd be totally stoked. I had an 8 month pregnant girl try to have her way with me and it wasn't quite as pleasant...damn hormones
  6. Different world without a condom. Today was the first time I gave up on finishing. After an hour I just said I was finished, went in the bathroom and rubbed one out. hehe So you're not alone.
  7. Do you notice a difference between wool sox and pantyhose kneehighs or whatever you call them? Thinner condoms are so much less noticeable. Feels almost natural as said above...
  8. When I was in 9th grade I had the biggest crush on this girl in band. I always found myself looking at her, and her looking back. She started becoming friends with my best friend. She was in the top 10 in the whole school for hotness and desirability. Guys were always asking her out and I was new to the area and felt like she was out of my league. Whenever class was over I'd stand near her in the hall and eventually we were on a basis where we'd talk every day. Eventually she started dating this senior and I was so hurt. It lasted 2 weeks and she broke up with him. Eventually she became my girlfriend for the next 3 years... Only things I can suggest would be: be friendly, give eye contact, chat with her when you have the opportunity. By being friendly I don't mean grab her butt whenever you can, with eye contact don't force it or stare at her with your tongue hanging out, just look into her eyes when you talk to her, not her boobs. By chatting I mean just say small stuff to initiate conversation...like if she's holding a bunch of books you can say, "Wow looks like you'll be having fun today", or just little stuff like that to get her to notice you.
  9. Cheated after having a strong emotional connection to me for a year...not a 1 nighter at a party, but after 1 year of seeing each other things have built up to this. Most people would have caved after a month or two... Believe me, I got chlamidia last winter after my gf cheated on me, so I can relate to what it's like to have a girl cheat on you. Believe me... That's why I'm on here, because everything is so odd...My mind tells me one thing, my heart disagrees, eventually I follow my mind, and it doesn't work out, so I follow my heart and find myself here. We started as friends, but I wanted to date her, I was shy and didn't let her know my intentions...she didn't let me know her intentions. Finally she told me about her boyfriend after we formed an emotional connection. I was heart broken when she told me she had a boyfriend, I thought it would be so simple...
  10. I've been cheated on with a previous girlfriend in the past and it killed me. I was so jealous of when she'd be out or not come home when she should have and so on. With this girl now I am not jealous whatsoever because I feel as though I've already got her, just not physically. Emotionally I feel as though she's mine. She isn't the type to be an hour late, she's not the type that has a lot of guy friends or flirtatious even. She's the quiet girl who doesn't party. She's very smart and it's completely different from any situation I've ever been in or seen in my life. So if you had a b/f or g/f at age 16 you must marry that person and spend your whole life with them? I understand she should have taken 1 of us at a time, but it was an accident us meeting. We've both tried to not see each other. I think she feels it's easier to just go with the life she's got right now, but her mind and heart are in a different place. But it's worse on her b/f for her to stay with him out of pity.
  11. Thanks for the response. I should add.... From the beginning of when things started to become more than friends I could sense she felt guilty. I didn't push anything once she told me she had a boyfriend, I completely stopped all advances towards her, but eventually it's just natural to progress I suppose. She's foreign which I'm sure scares her to death because her life would be completely changed. Today we had a kinda coming clean talk to just get everything out. She said she's never seen her boyfriend cry, but this week he was crying and saying she's changed. What a guilt trip to put on a person... She said things have been different in her relationship ever since she met me last year, but now she said every day her boyfriend talks about how different she is... It's not some affair like you see in the movies. It's the most loving friendship I've ever had. Only 2 days ago did we have sex, that's after a year of wanting her. The best time I've ever had was teaching her how to drive...she took her drivers test and failed miserably, so I helped her learn how to parallel park and she nailed it perfectly on her first try. Stuff like that just makes me feel so good. The other thing, I haven't had 1 day in the last year she hasn't been priority on my mind. I haven't even had sex with anyone in almost 6 months because I've only thought of her, even though she has a boyfriend she has sex with. I've had no desire and have turned girls away just to keep myself open for this girl. So strange...
  12. Without writing a book I'll keep it short. I've known this girl for a year, we've seen each other regularly for past 4 months. She has a boyfriend and we started as friends, but I believe both of us were attracted from the start. She calls me regularly, and I go to her work to visit her regularly. On her days off she's with me and we have a blast and hit it off every time. It's amazing. Her boyfriend was her first, she's been with him since she was 16, she's 21 now. She says she wants to be with me, but she says she can't leave him because it's not right because he hasn't done anything bad to deserve being left after around 6 years, but she feels different. So in 2 weeks I'm moving up near Frederick MD, and she's moving to Oklahoma. She said she needs to think about her life and what she wants. Her boyfriend works all the time, but this weekend is his last and next week he'll have all his time free, so she'll be with him instead of me. That said, here's some of the conflicting stuff that's got me all confused. She's made excuses with her boyfriend for next week to get away from him to see me. She is very affectionate towards me. Two days ago, after knowing her for a year, we had sex for the first time together. Today, she woke up at 6:00am to see me. She wanted to take a nap which turned into 1 hour of sex and 45 minutes sleep. We just keep going in circles, and if you drop the boyfriend from the picture we're just like lovers. All her friends love me, they say I'm so much better than her boyfriend and such. She goes out of her way to see me, but she won't take the step of leaving her boyfriend. She would have to have feelings for me to have sex with me correct? I'm the second person she's been with, and it's taken 1 year for us to actually do it. She doesn't party much, she's kinda quiet, sweet and good girl. I feel that she's on the verge of leaving him for me, but not certain. Anyone have any thoughts?
  13. Wal mart or CVS or anywhere that sells them. Just buy the biggest box and stand proud as you march through the checkout. Everyone uses them, so just look like the guy who gets the most. Being uncircumsized you just pull the skin back to expose the head and put the condom on, just like if you were circumsized. There isn't a different condom for those of us who are uncircumsized.
  14. I'm 6'4 and 155 lbs. I used to be really critical of my skinniness, eating 160 grams of protein per day spaced out 30 grams every 3 hours and going to the gym. After 3 months of working my nuts off I gained 10 lbs. Finally I saw a guy my same height and skinniness with this super hot girl and totally gained confidence in myself. I get comments from everyone telling me I need to gain weight. Oh well, we all have imperfections that we can't change, they become part of our character.
  15. All women say love over money, but most don't apply that to their lives. I've come accross tons of women who are just looking for someone to support them. Or the thing that attracts them to a man is his expensive escalade/navigator, his expensive clothes, always buying them jewelry and the such, spending money on them. In college most of the girls I was friends with had boyfriends. A lot of them had 1 goal in life, to get pregnant and have a husband support them. They'd always talk with each other showing off the new ring their fiance just bought them, or talking about how her fiance just bought her a new navigator. These same girls had a different fiance each quarter of the school year. I on the otherhand, believe that love is the most important, and I'll work for whatever I need...maybe I'll find a girl who wants to work for all her wants.
