  1. Lovely pics floating_away! You definitely have the eye for it. Mmm ponte vecchio, love that bridge. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Yes I can relate. The 'feels like we never met' theme is very haunting. Quite beautiful Pinkrobot - painful, yet inescapable, there is something much larger at play. Might as well accept it.
  3. Oh I forgot how windy it was there. I lived in Gonubie for a while with my grandparents when they were alive - most of my family now live in Beacon Bay. Just googled it, doesn't look as nice as Knysna but I remember it being pretty nice back in the day (70s lol). Different ocean too. Now I have the SA itch.. Must go soon. Sorry to hijack photo thread, keep em coming y'all. Jeen were your last pics from Venice?
  4. Day 23478998374958794 No longer a challenge, it's just fun now.
  5. Ooh nice It's a cool place, little quiet for me though if I was to live there but I do enjoy visiting once a year. Shame the roads around there (like the road to Plet/George) are so dangerous. Ugh now I want to go there right now! My parents are considering a move to East London (SA) where the rest of my family is so might be last Knysna trip next time.
  6. Thanks Jeen! I can't believe someone knew where those pics were from, Thesen Isle just next to Knysna Marina indeed, well spotted.. Have you been to Knysna?
  7. Oh BellaDonna it was so tranquil. All I could hear when taking those photos was the occasional surfacing of a fish. Not a care in the world when I am down there. I should have doctored the photos somewhat but they are ok like this I feel. I do plan on joining you in being a boater in the future, pretty envious of you, it's a nice pastime. I took these with a Nikon D90 with the optional 18-200 lens, had just bought it before going down there, it's really an incredible camera. For the long exposures I had no tripod so had to use whatever there was in front of me - a little camera shake ensued but it came out ok. Btw It's an incredible little spot - this island is on a lagoon.
