  1. If you want a good laugh, try "Crossroads Road". I thought it was hilarious. Now I'm re-reading "Man's Search for Meaning" -- a totally different vibe from the other one but so good.
  2. I'm reading "Wuthering Heights" but it is really tough going. Heathcliff is an ass. So are most of the other characters. I can't stand anyone. Today I rebelled and started reading The Ambler Warning by Robert Ludlum. I read it a long time ago but I forget it. It is much better than Wuthering Heights.
  3. Reminds me of Downton Abbey! On that show, it does look like a lot of work just cooking for the day.
  4. I just finished Time Magazine's special edition on Abraham Lincoln. It was great. I read it cover to cover but it was only about 60 pages. I have even more respect for Honest Abe than I did before! I'm also reading "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins, one of the world's most prominent atheists. It is a very interesting read and thought provoking. I'm also reading "The 5 Love Languages" as recommended on ENA for the issues I am having with my relationship. It is also very interesting and I am learning a few things.
  5. Still loving your journal! I like the simple way you write your gratitudes and what they mean. They may be helping me as much as you!
  6. I'm reading a book by Eckart Tolle (totally wrong spelling) about potential. I don't remember the name but he is a good writer. I'm also reading a book called "The How NOT to cookbook" about all the things that you shouldn't do when you cook. Lots of good tips (which I need).
  7. Thanks for your journal Journeynow! As a result of reading yours, I am doing gratitudes every day in my journal and it really helps! Kind of blocks out the complaints! I am grateful for your inspiration.
  8. I looked this up and wow! What a story. Looks really interesting but horrific too. I'm not sure if I can handle reading it but I am totally intrigued.
  9. I forgot to say what book I am reading. I am reading "On Food and Cooking". It is a book about the chemistry and history of food. It is very interesting. It's not like the kind of book you sit down and read straight through. I guess you could but I read it in short bits. It's a pretty thick book because it covers everything. I'm reading about honey and how the bees make it honey. Next chapter is on brewing and how we started making liquor.
  10. Yes, it was such a weird premise and yet, it worked....even the part about the algae island which I tried to explain to a friend of mine and he looked at me like I had three heads. I kind of felt like the end was..I don't know, just not fulfilling...not to ruin the book for anyone! It is definitely a good read
  11. Great! I read it a long time ago. After you read it, get yourself a David Sedaris book, like "Me Talk Pretty One Day". He is hilarious and you'll need a funny book after "Bones".
  12. Yeah, I read it. It's sad but it was a great book. I think the book is always better than the movie, no matter what the story is.
  13. I'm reading the Geography of Bliss by an NPR reporter. I forget his name. It is kinda funny. The guy is witty. It's about him going to a bunch of different countries that have been rated as particularly happy or unhappy and trying to figure out why.
  14. Eh, who knows? I'm sick of thinking about it. I'm weary from it all. Glad you are not set back rigguy.
