Randy W. KirkIn The Third Wave by Alvin Toffler he famously suggested that information would be exploding so quickly in the 21st Century that no one, no matter how smart or well read, would be able to keep up. He believed that this would cause a great deal of frustration for those who needed to or wanted to stay current. I certainly feel that way today. I find myself narrowing the fields where I can maintain an edge, whether in my writing, my business, or my personal interests. What seems most clear that business owners have to be up to date on communication methods, if nothing else. As this is written I spend a huge amount of my time reading the materials of those who are at the forefront of new communication approaches. Dan Kennedy, Jay Conrad Levinson, and others are teaching how to reach prospects and stay connected to customers through the Web, e-mail, blogs, and mail. |
