IZOD Brand Launches Collection For Home

Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation, an apparel company which makes Calvin Klein, DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica and other famous clothing brands, has announced on Monday that it has licensed WestPoint Home, Inc., a leading home textile manufacturer and marketer based in New York City, to design, produce and market bed, bath and kitchen products under Phillips-Van Heusen's IZOD brand.

For IZOD, WestPoint Home will be producing branded sheets, fashion bedding, bath towels as well as bath accessories. In addition, the manufacturer will be delivering IZOD blankets and throws, down comforters, pillows and mattress pads. All these products will be available in the leading department and specialty stores all across the Unites States, its possessions and territories.

John Piazza, President and Chief Operating Officer of WestPoint Home, said that through the innovation of their products, their quality, style and design, the company's goal is to make the lives of people much more easier and more comfortable. WestPoint Home share these goals with IZOD which is a very popular, respected and powerful brand. "IZOD embodies a youthful, energetic spirit with a sport-inspired lifestyle," Piazza said and added that their designers have created a collection that is very practical for everyday use, functional, innovative and fashion forward. The CEO expressed his excitement and honor for the opportunity to work with IZOD and Phillips-Van Heusen Corp.

According to Allen Sirkin, President and Chief Operating Officer of Phillips-Van Heusen, it has always been their aim to intensify the strengths of the IZOD brand by collaborating with leading manufacturers. This could bring the IZOD lifestyle to additional necessary and important product categories, and WestPoint Home is a leading home textile manufacturer, and in particular in the bed and bath arena, he said. With nearly 200 years in the home product business, WestPoint Home has a very good understanding of the market that will allow the manufacturer to deliver the value, fashion and energy for the all the product categories offered by the IZOD brand, Sirkin said.

IZOD is licensed in twenty four product categories. In 2002, J.R. United brought the brand to the home textiles market. Deliveries of the new collection are scheduled to be presented in Spring 2010, at WestPoint Home's corporate headquarters at 28 East 28th Street in New York.

Phillips-Van Heusen's portfolio of brands also includes its other popular owned brands, such as ARROW, G.H. Bass & Co., Bass, City of London, Bugatti and Eagle, and its licensed brands, Geoffrey Beene, BCBG Max Azria, BCBG Attitude, CHAPS, Sean John, Donald J.
