With a significant increase in the powerful industry of gaming, the consumers keep waiting for more and more new editions of the video games. In the article below you will find a number of games that are ready to be released in the upcoming summer.

1. Terminator Salvation

Terminator Salvation is a third person shooter game where the player needs to constantly be in motion, attack, cover and utilize their vanguard in order to progress and move forward. The player must fight with Skynet enemies from the upcoming film with the same name, as well as battle new enemies that were specially designed for the game. This game is scheduled for a release on May 19, 2009 which coincided with the release of the upcoming film on the same week. The game is designed to play on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Personal Computer, cellular phone, and iPhone OS.

2. Red Faction: Guerrilla

In the game, the main character Guerrilla, is going to run, attack, hide, jump, target vehicles, and use different kinds of weapons in order to be able to cross the open world of Mars and battle the Earth Defense Forces. Weapons that are involved in the game include machine gun turrets, rocket turrets, remote charges, a sledgehammer, machine guns, as well as many more. It is an upcoming third person shooter video game that is scheduled for the release on June 2, 2009 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Microsoft Windows platforms. The game is the third installment in the series of Red Faction.

3. Prototype

The action in this game is focused around Alex Mercer's superhuman abilities. The main hero has super-powerful strength, extremely high speed, superhuman suppleness, endurance, and healing. Alex also has the abilities of consuming his defeated enemies, changing the shape of his body and easy moving abilities in the New York City environment. The game is due for release on June 9th, 2009 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Microsoft Windows.

4. Overlord II

This is a sequel to the first 2007 game Overlord, which consisted of taking a control over the Overlord who, in his turn, sent his minions to carry out most of the work. This version of the game has been greatly expanded. The cognitive abilities and destructive powers of the minions have been significantly improved and the new AI will be able to perform much more actions than before, such as riding mountains, using war machines and sailing warships. Overlord II is a third person action-adventure game for the Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 3, and is expected to be released on June 23, 2009.

5. The Conduit

The Conduit game offers an experience typical of a first person shooter, concentrating on combat in a 3D environment and taking place from the first person perspective of a playable hero. It is a futuristic first person shooter game for the Wii console. The Conduit will also support the recently announced Wii Speak peripheral, that will give the online multiplayer gamers an opportunity to chat as they destroy alien enemies and progress in each terrifying level. The game will be released June 23, 2009.

6. Fight Night Round 4

Fight Night Round 4 is a boxing video game developed by EA Sports. Fight Night Round 4 is a sequel to EA Sports' 2006 Fight Night Round 3. The game will present more than forty licensed fighters. Several new modes such as the Legacy Mode have been included in this version. The game's cover will feature Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson. The game will be released on June 30th, 2009 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
