Fear of the dentist
Yeah, it's a worldwide fear and very common, but I'm beginning to think I have some sort of irrational fear. I mean, I'll pretty much do anything to get out of going. The number of appointments I've skipped and cancelled is just ridiculous, but I fully understand that it's stupid of me to not go.
Commercial fears...
...like "Fear of public speaking"? OK. I'm aware that all people in the world are different, are differently influenced, are differently talented, and thus have their own different strengths and weaknesses. But when looking around in bookstores I sometimes have the feeling that psychology (or at least, the popular psychology industry, those with self-help books and success coaches) invents psychological disorders: Anxieties, fears, etc.
