I'm not drastically overweight, but i noticed that my upper body is getting a bit bigger and i know i should try losing weight for my health, since having weight on your chest and all is not so good. So i'm going to start trying to lose weight as soon as i can.

depressed about trying to lose weight

Im getting really depressed it seems because i feel i dont have the willpower to lose weight! im 21 years old and not severly overweight but i could lose a lot...for some reason i eat horrible foods and no good foods, but i love all k inds of fruits and veggies, why am i not eating healthy at all? hmph.
skipping dinner/weight loss
okay, ive heard from many people that when they skipped dinner, they lost weight. is this credible? not to say its the healthiest thing in the world, but if you eat a hearty and healthy breakfast and lunch, it would seem your body is able to metabolize those calories easy and then going to bed with an empty stomach would mean less food that would just be columnating and not being worked off with movement.
Whats the best way to lose weight?
In a healthy way, of course. What foods, exercise would you recommend? And note, im vegetarian, so any meat/seafood is out. lol
