Advice & Discussions
Empty nest, adult children
I need some good, solid advice. I'm in my 40s now, and my grown daughters are 26 and 23. I divorced when they were 4 and 6. I think I did a pretty good job as a single mom, but there were definitely rough times, both emotionally and financially. There were times when I used to fight and scream a lot with my children, and I did not always set the best example in my private life.
Ba ba black sheep
That's me. The black sheep. I arranged a camping trip for my siblings and myself. My boyfriend and my younger brother's girlfriend came along. From the get go, I felt ostracized. I honestly do feel like I'm being replaced. This girl is the daughter that my mother should have gotten- she's the good girl just like my older sister.
How can I help her?
My older sister is a good person, and chose to focus on school and getting a career started as an RN. Unfortunately, she focussed a little too much, and now she has no social skills. She's really unhappy these days with living in a big city and being unable to meet anyone.
Superwoman, Song for Mothers
I found this song to be uplifting.. thought I'd share with fellow Mama's... :) Nothing is impossible.... link
